Ben Nettles was born on June 8, 1977 in Tallahassee Florida. At the age of 9, Ben began taking private art classes which included painting, sculpture, and design. After graduating from high school in 1995, he decided that a career in the art industry would be his best choice. He then went on to graduate from The Ringling School of Art and Design with a bachelors degree in Illustration. Ben has been illustrating professionally for four years and has won awards from the Society of Illustrators, CMYK Magazine, and the RSVP Directory. He now lives with his wife and two year old son in Sarasota Florida where he continues to create in his private studio.
